Now the “mini-folkboat” comes in two basic versions  – MF Sport with a self draining cockpit and MF Comfort with the traditional cockpit both versions with a number of different options – you can customize the MF-boat to your own personal needs. You can build your MF-boat at your own choice, as long as you stay within the measures of hull and rig. You can combine a lot of options to personalize your MF-boat!!

The MF-boat is a sailboat for everybody. The expert or the amateur, the single-hander, the family the club and the sailing school. A neat daysailer,  fast and  forgiving, uncomplicated and easy to handle.  Sails high on the wind and is surprisingly dry in a seaway. Comes with mainsail and jib as standard equipment, but  2 different spinnaker sizes, 22 and 37 sq m and a 26 sq m gennaker are available at choice.

Nicanders Båtvarv in Lysekil at the west coast of Sweden, some 100 km north of Gothenburg,  is the company who produce and market the MF-boat.   The Nicander 40 and the CB 365 are two modern family cruisers that are also produced and marketed by the company.    The first MF was launched   July 16, 2010.

The production of the MF-boat is strictly controlled to obtain uniform hull shapes and weight distribution. All boats will be exactly equal, to make one-design class racing as fair as possible. The weight of all components have been checked and the keels come with a weight certificate from the foundry, in order to arrive as close as possible to the specified minimum weight.
